The work uses the butterfly as a metaphor and symbol of transfiguration. Whether as a camouflage, defense or reproductive mechanism, they can create powerful illusions by pretending to be other insects and birds through the design and colors of their wings. The black and white butterfly is obtained by direct contact printing from the color slide, the interesting thing is how a process of duplicating images ends up creating completely different butterflies.. The effectiveness of these appearances leads us to reflect on what the real images that we should interpret of the world are and on what depends the veracity of these images. How many differences are there in what we believe to be similar according to our senses after we become aware of the illusion?
